In this course, you will apply information security in a number of scenarios:

Understanding and Planning Penetration Tests: Professionals will learn how to plan and scope a penetration testing engagement, including understanding legal and compliance requirements, setting up a testing environment, and determining the tools and techniques appropriate for the target systems.
Information Gathering and Vulnerability Identification: This includes techniques for gathering information about a target environment to better understand and identify potential vulnerabilities. It also covers conducting passive and active reconnaissance, vulnerability scanning, and analyzing the results.
Attacks and Exploits: Participants will learn how to use various attack methods to exploit vulnerabilities. This involves understanding and performing exploits on network, application, and wireless systems, as well as post-exploitation techniques to determine the impact of the breach and gather further information.
Penetration Testing Tools: The course introduces a variety of tools used in penetration testing, ranging from network enumeration and vulnerability scanners to password crackers and web application tools. Students will learn how to select and use these tools effectively.
Reporting and Communication: A critical outcome is the ability to properly document and report the findings from the penetration test. This includes creating a clear report that outlines the methodology, findings, evidence, and recommendations for remediation. Effective communication skills are also emphasized to ensure findings are understood and acted upon by stakeholders.
